Gagori Mitra is the co-founder of the Aithein Healing School, a teacher of Andrea Fuego, and the certifying instructor for the marma method in the Puja Marma training program. Gagori has many years of experience in Ayurveda and healing bodywork. For her, the connection between body, mind, and soul is a way of life. She shares her knowledge and philosophy with deep understanding and through personal experiences gained throughout her life.
Gagori was first introduced to massage when she was six years old. To help her overcome bedwetting, her father consulted a book on marma , which described various pressure points on the body. Over the next two months, he applied the techniques described in the book, and the problem disappeared within two months. As she grew up, she massaged her father’s feet and shoulders. Although Gagori did this for fun, her father realized her ability to heal people with her hands. It was the same with her mother and sister, who suffered from severe headaches. She easily cured them by pressing a few points on their foreheads for 10–15 minutes.
Gagori’s knowledge comes from her mother, who taught her about the Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle. Gagori’s mother learned it from her own mother. Knowledge of Ayurveda has been passed down from generation to generation in her family.
Gagori continues to study under the guidance of her guru, Choyin Dorje. She was born into a Hindu family and follows Buddhist traditions, lineages, and spiritual practices. Her knowledge stems primarily from her adherence to the ancient Guru-Shirsh Parampara tradition, which involves the direct transmission of knowledge from teacher to disciple.
